Nike has launched Nike+ FuelBand which when tied around your wrist will monitor your daily exercise activity. The sports major unveiled it yesterday in New York City along with a bunch of athletes such as Lance Armstrong and Kevin Durant who demonstrated how the FuelBand “provides a scoreboard for your day and gets everyone moving.” NIKE+ FuelBand keeps track of physical activity via a built in accelerometer. It allows you to measure your progress in four metrics: Time, Calories, Steps and NikeFuel. Unlike calorie counts, which may vary on someone’s gender and body type, NikeFuel is a normalized score that awards equal points for the same activity regardless of physical makeup.
